MY HOUSE
In 1902 a big beautiful house was built at 1312 South Center Street. The first people living in the house were Mr. and Mrs. Grogean. Mr. Grogean had a laboratory in the basement and was a chemistry teacher. Mrs. Grogean lived in her house until her death. Her daughter, Mrs. Adams then lived there and also got married at the bottom of the staircase. The house became known as the haunted house of the block because Mrs. Adams put timers on the lights and the house was in need of paint. The Nulls moved into the house. The Nulls dug a pond in the backyard.Their son fell into it while riding his tricycle. We bought the house in 1991 and have lived in it until the present. We fixed the house up in many ways. We redid the kitchen, living room, dining room, and all the bedrooms. In the backyard we put a deck and pool. We painted the whole house in Victorian colors in 1995. We are now redoing the dining room. We are also thinking about remodeling the garage.
I LOVE TO LIVE IN MY HOUSE!
